Fatal Crash on W. Commonwealth Avenue in Fullerton
FULLERTON, Calif. (April 14, 2025) – A driver died Saturday night in a head-on crash with another motorist on West Commonwealth Avenue in Fullerton.
The fatal, two-vehicle collision occurred around 10:50 p.m. on Saturday, April 12th in the 600 block of West Commonwealth Avenue, according to the Fullerton Police Department.
It was the second fatality crash in Fullerton on Saturday, following one involving a bus that killed two people.
The drivers of a gold 2004 Toyota Corolla and a white 2009 Lexus RX350 were involved.
Investigators determined a westbound Toyota traveling on Commonwealth allegedly veered into the path of the eastbound Lexus and the cars collided head-on, police said.
One Killed, One Injured in Fullerton Crash on Commonwealth Avenue
Paramedics responded and transported both injured drivers to a hospital, but unfortunately, the driver from the Toyota died from his injuries.
Meanwhile, two trucks removed both vehicles due to major damage and investigators are piecing together what happened and whether or not drugs and or alcohol were factors.
