Minor Injury Crash Involving Overturned Truck Shuts Down Lane on Watsonville Road

Gilroy, CA (April 15, 2025) — A two-vehicle Gilroy car accident involving a white Tesla and a GMC pickup left one vehicle overturned and partially in a ditch late Tuesday morning at Watsonville Road and Highway 152.

The California Highway Patrol (CHP) responded to the scene shortly after 11:00 a.m. on April 15th. The minor injury collision required paramedics, however, it’s unknown if anyone was hospitalized.

According to CHP reports, the GMC pickup landed on its roof, partially in a ditch, while the Tesla came to rest nearby. A white SUV was also reported on the scene, possibly involved or assisting. Several bystanders stopped to help the occupants immediately after the crash.

Both vehicles required towing, prompting requests to Bracco’s Tow and Marx Tow for recovery services. The southbound lane of Watsonville Road was temporarily blocked due to the collision and emergency response.

No serious injuries were reported, though the exact number of people involved has not been confirmed. CHP is continuing its investigation into the cause of the crash.
