Deadly Crash Interstate 15 Freeway Involving Motorcycle in Scripps Ranch

Two-Vehicle Collision on I-15 Freeway in San Diego | April 15

SAN DIEGO, Calif. (April 17, 2025) — A deadly crash involving a motorcycle happened Tuesday afternoon on the Interstate 15 Freeway, just south of Mira Mesa Boulevard in Scripps Ranch.

The two-vehicle collision occurred around 4 p.m. on April 15th, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP officials reported the motorcyclist was traveling at high speed on northbound I-15 when the bike collided with a driver in a silver Lexus SUV.

The motorcycle went down in the roadway and caught fire, police said.

One person suffered major injuries and died at the scene.
