Two Injured in Minor Collision on Allen Road in Bakersfield

Bakersfield, CA (April 21, 2025) — Two people, including a juvenile, sustained minor injuries in a traffic collision late Monday morning at Allen Road and Palm Avenue in southwest Bakersfield.

The crash occurred around 11:26 a.m. on April 21st at the Bakersfield intersection, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).

The driver of a white Toyota sedan collided with a white SUV due to unknown circumstances in the southbound lanes. Airbags were deployed, and the impact left both vehicles temporarily blocking traffic.

Emergency crews responded quickly, with firefighters attending to one person with a knee injury and a juvenile suffering a head injury. All parties were eventually moved to the sidewalk to await further medical evaluation.

A tow was requested for the Toyota, which could not be moved from the roadway. The incident was initially categorized as a more serious crash but was later downgraded to a “minor injury” status.

The CHP is continuing to investigate the cause of the collision.
