Three-Vehicle Collision Slows Traffic on Eastbound SR-22 Near Harbor Blvd

GARDEN GROVE, CA (April 25, 2025) — A multi-vehicle crash disrupted traffic Friday morning on the eastbound Garden Grove 22 Freeway, just west of Harbor Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).

The collision, reported around 7:52 a.m. on April 25th, involved a white Lexus SUV, a black Chevrolet pickup, and a third vehicle. One vehicle was briefly blocking the HOV lane before emergency crews arrived.

CHP and Orange County Fire were quickly on scene, along with Freeway Service Patrol (FSP). Officials reported all vehicles were eventually moved to the right shoulder or center divider, clearing the roadway shortly after 8:00 a.m. No major injuries were confirmed, though the horn of the Lexus could be heard in the background of a 911 call, raising initial concerns.

Meanwhile, police requested tow services to remove the damaged vehicles.

The cause of the crash is under investigation, and drivers are urged to continue using caution in the area.
