Repeat DUI Driver Arrested | Highway 99 Crash at Manning Avenue in Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (May 2, 2025) — A 41-year-old Avenal man with five prior DUI convictions caused a serious car accident Tuesday night on Highway 99 in Fresno.
DUI Suspect Arrested Was 3 Times Above Legal Alcohol Limit
Authorities reported the driver, who was nearly three times over the legal alcohol limit, stopped his Chevy Colorado pickup truck in the middle of the freeway. The pickup truck’s lights were turned off when it was hit by an oncoming Ram truck near Manning Avenue.
The Ram truck overturned and was blocking all northbound traffic lanes, but the motorist had his seatbelt on and did not sustain any serious injuries.
However, the suspect was seriously injured and airlifted to a hospital where he was later arrested for the sixth time on DUI charges.

The traffic collision remains under investigation.
