Oakland Crash I-80 Freeway at San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge Entrance

OAKLAND, Calif. (May 8, 2025) — Three vehicles were involved in a crash Thursday morning on the I-80 Freeway near the toll booth plaza entrance to the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge.
CHP Reports Injury Collision at Toll Plaza
The multi-vehicle collision occurred in westbound lanes around 5:54 a.m. on May 8th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials report the drivers of a blue Toyota Tacoma pickup truck, a gray Nissan Altima 4-door sedan, and a utility truck were involved. An ambulance was dispatched to the crash scene due to at least one person with complaints of pain. Meanwhile, a tow truck responded to remove the damaged Nissan from the roadway.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the crash on the I-80 Freeway in Oakland.
