Jesus Aragon Killed in Bakersfield Rollover Crash on Hughes Lane

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (May 13, 2025) — Jesus Alexis Beltran Aragon, 23, died, two others were injured after a two-vehicle crash Saturday night at Hughes Lane, just north of Holden Way in South Bakersfield.

One Killed, Two Injured in Collision on Hughes Lane
The Bakersfield Police Department is heading up an investigation into the cause of the deadly crash that happened around 8:50 p.m. on May 10, 2025.
The young man was found pinned beneath an overturned SUV and pronounced dead at the scene. Meanwhile, a second man who was also in the SUV was treated for minor injuries at a local hospital.
Meanwhile, a male driver in a second vehicle was transported to a local hospital with moderate injuries.
Detectives determined the SUV was heading southbound on Hughes Lane before its driver tried to turn eastbound onto Holden Way. However, the driver turned directly into the path of a northbound vehicle and was broadsided. That’s when the SUV overturned and one person was ejected.
The investigation into what happened is ongoing.
