Big Rig Truck and Motorcyclist Collide in Modesto

MODESTO, Calif. (May 13, 2025) — A motorcycle rider and a big rig truck were involved in a crash in Modesto on Tuesday on the I-5 Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP officers responded to two separate crashes reported this morning just after 7 a.m. on May 13th in the northbound lanes of the freeway, just north of Sperry Avenue.

The most serious crash involved the trucker and the motorcyclist. Paramedics responded and rushed the injured biker to the hospital for a broken leg.

Police closed down the slow lane of the freeway and a tow truck removed the damaged bike.
