Five-Vehicle Crash Causes Minor Injuries, Major Delays on Stockton Boulevard in Sacramento

Sacramento, CA — May 14, 2025 — A multi-vehicle crash involving at least five vehicles left several people with minor injuries Wednesday morning at Stockton Boulevard and Florin Road, just south of Interstate 80.

The collision occurred shortly after 9:25 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP). Initial reports described a pileup involving a Ford F-150 pickup truck—possibly towing a trailer—a silver Honda Accord, a black Hyundai SUV, and multiple gray sedans.

Witnesses reported one vehicle blocking the intersection, and another person potentially injured at the scene.

CHP and Sacramento Fire crews responded quickly, with emergency medical services en route to assist the injured. While no serious injuries were reported, the incident was officially classified as a “minor injury” collision by CHP just before 10:30 a.m.

All northbound lanes of Stockton Boulevard were blocked for a time, and traffic was diverted south of Florin Road as tow trucks worked to remove the damaged vehicles.

Traffic was heavily impacted in the area throughout the morning, especially for drivers attempting left-hand turns or traveling northbound on Stockton Boulevard.

Authorities have not released details on what caused the crash. The incident remains under investigation.
