Woman Stuck in Vehicle, in Crash Near Hammonton Smartville Road

Yuba City, Calif. (May 15, 2025) — A two-vehicle car accident happened Thursday morning in Yuba City at Hammonton Smartville Road and North Beale Road.

The traffic accident occurred at around, 7:02 AM on May 15th, 2025 according to the California Highway Patrol.

A vehicle allegedly drove through a red light and hit another motorist at the intersection. One person in the victim’s vehicle became trapped inside her vehicle. The collision became a major traffic hazard at the intersection. The CHP also reported that a blue Kia Forte was involved in the car accident. But it is unclear if this vehicle was at fault or not. A tow truck was requested on the scene and successfully was able to get the vehicle moved from the intersection and restore the normal flow of traffic.

A minor injury was reported by the CHP on the scene. Paramedics responded and located those with injuries and transported them to a nearby hospital for treatment of injuries.

Investigators are working to determine who is at fault for the accident near N Beale Road in Yorba City California.
