Pedestrian Accident Marengo Street, I-10 On Ramp in Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (May 21, 2025) — A driver struck a pedestrian riding a scooter Wednesday morning in a car accident at Marengo Street and the on-ramp to the eastbound I-10 Freeway near downtown Los Angeles.

The collision occurred around 6:33 a.m. on May 21st, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A driver in a gray Toyota Corolla sedan struck the pedestrian due to unknown circumstances. CHP dispatchers requested a response from the Los Angeles police and fire departments.

It’s unknown if the injured pedestrian was treated on scene or taken to a hospital.

Investigators are working to determine if the driver was at fault for the pedestrian accident on Marengo Street.
