Two-Vehicle San Jose Crash State Route 237, Zanker Road

SAN JOSE, Calif. (June 20, 2025) — A two-vehicle crash in San Jose happened Friday on Highway 237, just west of the Zanker Road off ramp.

The traffic accident occurred in the eastbound lanes of SR-237 at around noon on June 20th, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The drivers of a blue Nissan Versa, a white BMW X3, and possibly, a black Kia Optima were involved. The BMW came to a stop near the center divider and the other two cars were on the right shoulder.

The CHP report stated the white BMW possibly rear-ended the blue Nissan, leaving the back end of the Versa “destroyed,” the report said. The right front end of the BMW had damage from the crash.

Tow trucks removed the BMW and Nissan from the highway.

Paramedics were on scene to assist at least one person with minor injuries and complaints of pain, but there are no further details.
