Multi-Vehicle Stockton Crash Interstate 5 Freeway, Hammer Lane

STOCKTON, Calif. (April 29, 2026) — A three-vehicle crash on the southbound Interstate 5 Freeway off-ramp at Hammer Lane happened late Wednesday morning in Stockton, resulting in at least one person with minor injuries and temporarily disrupting traffic, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The collision was reported on April 29th around 9:57 a.m. and involved a gray Toyota RAV4, a white Nissan Altima with Nevada plates, and a silver Toyota Prius. Initial reports indicated the vehicles were blocking lanes on the off-ramp, with at least one car stopped in the middle lane.
Authorities also received information that the Prius had been weaving in and out of traffic prior to the crash, though the circumstances leading up to the collision remain under investigation.
By approximately 10:30 a.m., officers had moved all vehicles off the freeway to a nearby area, allowing traffic to begin flowing more normally. Tow trucks were requested to remove the damaged vehicles.
The incident was later classified as a traffic collision with minor injuries. Emergency crews responded to the scene, and all parties were reported to have exited their vehicles following the crash.
No additional details about the injured party or the extent of injuries were immediately available.
