Fatal Pedestrian Accident on Power Inn Road in Florin

SACRAMENTO, Calif., (May 7, 2026) — A fatal pedestrian accident happened Thursday night when a vehicle hit a person on Power Inn Road near Judette Avenue in the Florin area of South Sacramento.

The deadly crash occurred on May 7, 2026, at approximately 10:07 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.

According to authorities, the pedestrian was hit by a white Toyota Corolla, which was reportedly traveling northbound at the time of the collision. The vehicle had its hazard lights on and was positioned on the right-hand side of the road following the accident.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene shortly after the incident was reported. Sacramento County Chaplain and the coroner were notified as part of the response, indicating the severity of the situation. The pedestrian did not survive the injuries sustained in the crash.

The identity of the victim has not been released at this time, pending notification of next of kin. The Sacramento Police Department has launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision and is actively seeking witnesses to provide additional information.
