Motorcyclist Injured in Car Accident on Freeway

MURRIETA, Calif., (June 11, 2026) — A collision involving a motorcycle and an unknown vehicle occurred Thursday afternoon on the I-215 North at the Murrieta Hot Springs Road off-ramp, resulting in major injuries.
The incident was reported on June 11th at approximately 3:04 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol. Initial investigations indicate that the motorcyclist was struck by an unknown vehicle, which then allegedly ran over him before fleeing the scene. The off-duty nurse driving a blue Toyota RAV4 reportedly stopped to provide immediate assistance to the injured motorcyclist.
Emergency response teams were promptly dispatched to the scene, with units arriving shortly after the incident was reported. The injured motorcyclist was transported to a local hospital for treatment of major injuries sustained in the crash.
As the situation developed, a brush fire was reportedly observed on the right-hand side of the freeway, further complicating the situation. The fire, visible from a nearby parking lot, was moving northbound toward the overpass but has since been managed.
Authorities are actively investigating the incident and are seeking any witnesses who may have seen the collision or have information about the unknown vehicle involved. Witnesses are encouraged to contact the California Highway Patrol to assist in the ongoing investigation.
