Visalia, Calif. (June 15, 2026) — A two-vehicle crash involving a Nissan Murano and a Toyota Camry left at least one person trapped and injured Monday morning on Avenue 264 at North J Street near Visalia, according to emergency dispatch reports.

The collision was reported in the Tagus area on June 15th shortly after 7:35 a.m. at Avenue 264 and J Street, south of Visalia in Tulare County. Initial reports described the crash as involving a black SUV and a tan sedan. Authorities later identified the vehicles as a black Nissan Murano and a gray Toyota Camry.

Emergency crews from Tulare County Fire responded to the scene after reports indicated at least one person suffered injuries in the collision. Scanner traffic indicated one patient was trapped inside a vehicle with a possible broken leg, prompting a rescue response from firefighters and paramedics.

The California Highway Patrol upgraded the incident from a crash with unknown injuries to an injury collision as first responders arrived. At least two ambulances were dispatched to the scene to assist injured occupants.

Tow trucks from Visalia were requested to remove the damaged vehicles from the roadway following the crash.

The cause of the collision remains under investigation, and authorities have not released information regarding the identities of those involved or the full extent of injuries.
