Fatal Crash in Pacoima on the I-5 Freeway, Near Terra Bella Street

PACOIMA, Calif. (June 15, 2026) — Two vehicles were involved in a fatal crash in Pacoima early Sunday morning on the northbound I-5 Freeway near Terra Bella Street, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The deadly collision occurred around 3:40 a.m. on June 14th, according to the LAFD report.

The drivers of a large green Jeep or similar vehicle and a white Honda sedan were involved. The larger SUV wound up on top of the smaller car, leaving its passenger trapped underneath.

Firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene where they pronounced one person from the white car dead, but it’s unknown how many others may have been injured in the accident.

The cause of the crash is unknown at this time, but the California Highway Patrol is handling the investigation.
