Pedestrian Struck, Killed on Panorama Drive in Bakersfield

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (July 10, 2026) — A pedestrian died Thursday night in a car accident on Panorama Drive in Bakersfield, according to the Bakersfield Police Department.

The deadly collision occurred around 9:18 Thursday, July 9th in the 1100 block of Panorama Drive.

Police and paramedics responded and located the severely injured pedestrian down in the roadway.

Despite life-saving efforts, the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver stopped and cooperated with the investigation and detectives determined the person was crossing the road outside of a crosswalk at the time of the collision.
