Pickup Truck Rearends Car in Fatal Crash on Gettysburg Avenue
FRESNO, Calif. (July 15, 2026) — Daniel Martinez, 63, of Fresno, died in a two-vehicle crash Monday morning at Maple and Gettysburg avenues in Fresno.
The deadly collision occurred just before noon on Monday morning when a driver in a white Ford F-150 pickup truck rear-ended the Fresno man’s black car at high speed, causing the smaller vehicle to spin out and crash into a parked Kia. Daniel Martinez suffered major injuries and died at the scene of the collision.
One Dead, One Injured in High-Speed Crash
The Ford F-150, which sustained severe front-end damage, ended up in the middle of the street.
Paramedics responded and confirmed the driver from the sedan’s death and transported the driver of the Ford truck to a hospital.
Meanwhile, detectives working on the case determined that speed was a factor in the deadly collision.
