Fatal Truck Accident on SR91 East Near Lincoln Avenue, Corona

RIVERSIDE, Calif., (July 28, 2026) — A tragic collision involving a semi-truck in Corona resulted in a fatality late Tuesday night on State Route 91 East, just east of Lincoln Avenue.
The incident occurred on July 27th at approximately 11:16 p.m. when a semi-truck, equipped with a 53-foot trailer, reportedly blew a tire and came to a stop in the slow lane. The truck subsequently jackknifed, blocking the road and leaking fuel, as per reports from the California Highway Patrol.
Emergency responders, including fire and medical personnel, were dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, they found one unconscious person with a pulse, critically injured in the crash. Despite efforts to administer emergency medical care, authorities have confirmed the individual succumbed to their injuries.
The identity of the deceased has not been released pending notification of next of kin. The incident log indicates significant delays in the area due to road closures as the investigation and clean-up ensued.
