Semi-Truck Driver Fled, Car Overturns in Crash on SR91 East
WESTMINSTER, Calif., (August 6, 2026) — One person is dead after a car overturned in a crash with a semi-truck late Wednesday night on the eastbound 91 Freeway near Euclid Street in Anaheim.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred on August 5th at approximately 9:24 p.m., causing significant disruption and leading to the closure of multiple lanes. According to the details logged by the CHP, a silver Hyundai sedan overturned in the slow lane, with three occupants trapped inside. Emergency responders, including fire department units, were called to the scene to provide assistance.
The semi-truck, described as a white vehicle, reportedly continued traveling eastbound after cutting into lanes, contributing to the incident. Authorities have indicated that the crash will be classified as a hit-and-run, as the semi-truck did not remain at the scene.
