Man on Scooter Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash in San Pedro

SAN PEDRO, Calif. (August 8, 2026) – Antonio Galvan-Solorioon, 53, died in a hit-and-run crash while riding a scooter Thursday morning at San Pedro Street and Colden Avenue in San Pedro.

The man was struck by a vehicle on Aug. 7th around 5:30 a.m. near the intersection, according to the Los Angeles Police Department’s South Traffic Division.

Paramedics and police responded; however, he was pronounced dead at the scene. The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner later identified the victim as Antonio Galvan-Solorio.

Authorities have not released a description of the vehicle that struck the rider, but they are asking witnesses to call investigators at 323-421-2577.
