Fatal Crash on Grand Avenue and Gregory Place in Lake Elsinore
Fatal Multi-Vehicle Collision on Grand Ave in Lakeland Village Area
LAKE ELSINORE, Calif., (Aug. 26, 2026) — At least one person is dead and three injured after a multi-vehicle collision Tuesday night at Grand Avenue and Gregory Place in Lake Elsinore.
The incident occurred at approximately 9:14 p.m. on August 25th and involved three vehicles, including a white Chevrolet Camaro sedan and a black Toyota Camry sedan, the CHP reports.
CHP reports stated the white Camaro was allegedly speeding and crashed head-on into several other motorists. The vehicles came to rest blocking southbound traffic, with one driver possibly trapped inside the white Chevrolet.
Emergency units were swiftly dispatched to the scene at 9:37 p.m., following multiple reports of the collision. Paramedics and law enforcement officers from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office arrived and began their investigation into the cause of the crash.
Tragically, one individual lost their life in this collision. The identity and age of the victim have not been released pending notification of next of kin. Meanwhile, at least three others were critically injured in the crash and transported by ambulances to Inland Valley Medical Center.
SandR Towing was requested to assist with the vehicles as evidence, according to the incident log.
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department is leading the investigation and has urged any witnesses to come forward with information that could aid in determining the events leading up to the crash.
