Major Injuries Reported in Multi-Vehicle Collision on State Route 65

TULARE COUNTY, Calif., (Sept. 10, 2026) — A major injury traffic collision involving three vehicles occurred early Thursday morning on State Route 65 near Avenue 24 in Richgrove, south of Porterville, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash, reported on Sept. 10th at approximately 2:02 AM, involved a gray GMC pickup truck, a black 2004 Ford Mustang sedan, and a gray 2024 Jeep Wrangler. Emergency responders from Tulare County Fire Department were dispatched to the scene following an iPhone crash notification.

All lanes of State Route 65 were reportedly blocked due to the incident, which happened in an area where a road closure was already in effect. Tow services from Sunnyside Tow and Golden State Tow were called to clear the scene.

The injured parties were treated by paramedics, but it’s unknown how many were hospitalized.

The California Highway Patrol is actively investigating the cause of the collision and is urging any witnesses to come forward to provide additional information that may assist in the ongoing investigation.
