WEST LA: 2-Vehicle Crash on 405 Freeway North, Sunset Boulevard (9/14)

WEST LOS ANGELES, Calif., (Sept. 14, 2026) — A two-vehicle crash involving a car and SUV happened Monday night on the northbound I-405 Freeway, south of West Sunset Boulevard.

The incident, reported at approximately 10:19 p.m. on Sept. 14th, involved a gray Toyota Highlander and a white sedan with major front-end damage, the California Highway Patrol reported. The collision occurred on the northbound 405 Freeway and reportedly blocked the Nos. 3 and 4 lanes, causing substantial traffic delays.

Emergency response units were promptly dispatched to the scene, reaching the location within minutes. Initial reports indicated the possibility of a third vehicle being involved, although further details are pending. CHP dispatchers were told one of the involved parties was slightly disoriented following the crash.

Towing services were requested at approximately 10:35 p.m., with All City Tow and Tip Top Tow providing assistance to clear the vehicles. The white sedan sustained considerable front-end damage, necessitating additional towing resources.
