Major Injury Crash Involving Car and Motorcyclist

FOLSOM, Calif., (Sept. 16, 2026) — A major injury motorcycle accident happened Wednesday morning on westbound Highway 50 near East Bidwell Street in Folsom.

The incident, reported on Sept. 16th at approximately 8:38 a.m., involved a silver Toyota Camry sedan and a motorcycle. According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the motorcyclist was allegedly cut off by an unknown vehicle, leading to the crash. The motorcycle was left disabled in the lanes, resulting in debris spread across lanes two and three.

Emergency services quickly responded to the scene. Paramedics were dispatched, and the motorcyclist was transported to a local hospital due to major injuries. It is currently unclear if there were any other injuries resulting from the collision.

Traffic lanes one and two were temporarily shut down to allow emergency responders to manage the scene, and towing services were requested to remove the damaged vehicles.
