Driver Sought in Fatal Studio City Motorcycle Crash on Ventura Boulevard

Reward for Leads to Suspect in Honda Odyssey Minivan in Hit-and-Run Crash

STUDIO CITY, Calif. (Sept. 25, 2026) – A motorcycle rider in his 30s was killed Wednesday morning in a Studio City crash on Ventura Boulevard involving a hit-and-run driver in a 2004 Honda Odyssey minivan.

Now the Los Angeles Police Department is offering a reward up to $50,000 for leads that help them locate the suspect who fled the scene of the crash at 7 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 23rd at Ventura Boulevard and Carpenter Avenue.

The motorcyclist was heading east on Ventura Boulevard when the suspect in the westbound minivan attempted a left-hand turn onto Carpenter and collided with the rider. The motorcycle rider was thrown off the bike into the roadway and suffered major injuries. He was taken to a hospital where he later died.

Meanwhile, the driver in the Honda minivan failed to stop and kept traveling southbound on Carpenter Avenue before abandoning the vehicle.
