Tacoma Pickup Rear-ends Ford F-150 in Crash on Interstate 15
ESCONDIDO, Calif., (Oct. 30, 2026) — A crash involving multiple vehicles occurred in Escondido on the southbound I-15 Freeway, just north of Via Rancho Parkway, causing significant traffic delays during the morning commute.
The incident was reported on Oct. 30th at approximately 7:26 a.m., according to authorities from the California Highway Patrol (CHP). The collision involved a gray Ford F-150 pickup truck, a white Toyota pickup truck, and a black vehicle. Reports indicate that the Ford F-150 was rear-ended by the other two vehicles.
The vehicles were initially impeded in the fast lane, creating a blockage that led to major front-end damage on the black Toyota Tacoma, as indicated by emergency responders at the scene. Efforts were made to move the vehicles to the right-hand side of the freeway to alleviate traffic congestion.
It’s unknown how many people were injured in the crash or if anyone was hospitalized. The California Highway Patrol is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision and is urging any witnesses to come forward.
