Two-Vehicle Collision on I-680 Freeway, Andrade Road in Sunol

ALAMEDA COUNTY, Calif., (October 30, 2026) — A traffic collision involving a white Tesla and a black sedan resulted in minor injuries Thursday night on northbound Interstate 680 Freeway in Sunol near Andrade Road Off-ramp, authorities said.

The incident was reported by the California Highway Patrol (CHP) on Oct. 29th at approximately 7:56 p.m. The two vehicles blocked the Nos. 1 and 2 lanes, as well as two right-hand lanes, causing significant traffic disruption in the area.

Emergency responders, including fire and medical personnel, arrived at the scene shortly after the incident was reported. According to the CHP logs, the collision was classified as having minor injuries at 9:03 p.m.

The vehicles involved, a white Tesla and a black sedan, reportedly sustained major front-end damage. Tow services were requested for both vehicles, with separate companies handling the transportation of each vehicle from the scene.

Authorities are conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the collision and are seeking further information from any witnesses who may have been present at the time of the accident.
