Man, 30, Dead; Passenger, 33, Injured in Accident
DATE OF COLLISION: Wednesday, July 18th
July 18, 2018– According to the Press Democrat, a deadly solo vehicle collision left a 30-year-old man dead and a 33-year-old passenger injured last night on Highway 221.
Authorities reported the crash occurred at 4:20 p.m. when the 30-year-old driver of a 2008 Chevy veered off the highway and struck a utility pole.
The driver of the vehicle was pronounced dead while the passenger identified as Abner Bustamante, 33, of Vallejo, was injured.
Bustamante was rushed to Queen of the Valley Medical Center with moderate injuries.
At this time, California Highway Patrol officials are currently investigating the crash. Authorities are looking into whether or not the driver was under the influence of drugs or alcohol as this story will be updated pending the disclosure of new information.
