Woman, 40, Fatally Struck by 2 Vehicles
PARADISE, Calif. (Jan. 16, 2018)- A bicyclist identified as Amanda Mayberry, 40, was fatally injured Friday evening following a tragic collision.
Authorities report the collision occurred at precisely 7:08 p.m. at the intersection of Elliot Road and Almond Street.
Per the article, Amanda Mayberry who was a resident of Paradise was rear-ended by a vehicle and thrown into the path of the second car at Elliott Road and Almond Street, according to Paradise police.
The victim, Amanda Mayberry, had been riding her bicycle eastbound before being rear-ended on Elliot Road by Donna Mikel, 70. After being ejected from her bicycle, Mayberry landed in front of a westbound motorist identified as Jessica Raschka, 21.
The 40-year-old woman who was a resident of Paradise was then pinned underneath Raschka’s vehicle and was sadly pronounced dead at the arrival of paramedics.
Neither Raschka or Mikel were injured.
The Paradise Police Department is handling the investigation.
