Woman Dies in Motorcycle Accident with Bull
ANDERSON (August 29, 2017)- According to the Record Searchlight, a woman was sadly fatally injured in a motorcycle accident Tuesday morning after colliding with a bull.
California Highway Patrol officials were notified of the collision at 1:00 a.m. on Deschutes Road just south of Jade Lane.
Authorities reported that the woman had been on a 2004 Suzuki headed southbound on Deschutes when a bull wandered into the middle of the road triggering a crash which catapulted the unidentified woman from her motorcycle onto the street.
She had been wearing a helmet but sadly died of her injuries as she was pronounced at the scene, per the Record Searchlight.
California Highway Patrol officials are currently looking into the incident as the bull sustained injury but wandered off into an adjacent field.
Police officials will launch a full fledged investigation in an attempt locate the owner of the bull if there is an owner. The owner of the animal would be held accountable and fully responsible for the passing of the woman involved in this tragedy. California Law states that any owner or keeper of an escaped animal will be held liable if it escapes injuring or killing a motorist.
