Motorcyclist Injures Leg in Accident With Vehicle
BIG SUR (August 6, 2018)- According to the California Highway Patrol, a motorcycle accident was reported Monday morning on southbound Highway 1 also known as Cabrillo Highway near Gorda Mt. Road.
Authorities responded to the crash which transpired at roughly 10:24 a.m. also involving an alleged white sedan.
CHP officials confirmed the rider suffered a serious leg injury triggering the arrival of paramedics who treated the victim on scene before being rushed to a nearby hospital.
Details in regards to the cause of the crash were not disclosed within the dispatch report.
It did not appear that the driver of the sedan sustained any injuries as CHP officials remained present investigating of nearly four hours until after 2:30 p.m.

California Highway Patrol will carry out a forensic examination of both the vehicle and the motorcycle, as well as photos that were taken of the scene, will help investigators determine which party ultimately caused the accident.
