Fair Oaks Fatal Hit-and-Run on Fair Oaks Boulevard Sunday
LOCATION: Fair Oaks, CA
LOCATION OF INCIDENT: Sunday, March 4th
(March 5th, 2018)- According to the KCRA News, a deadly hit-and-run collision left a woman fatally injured in a hit-and-run collision Sunday on Fair Oaks Boulevard.
KCRA reported the incident to have occurred at roughly 12:13 a.m. near Bannister Road and Sunrise Boulevard.
Crystal Shrum, 26, Victim in Fair Oaks Hit-and-Run
Authorities have confirmed that the victim involved and fatally injured was Crystal Shrum, 26, of Carmichael.
Police officials have allegedly disclosed that Shrum had been out celebrating his birthday with her boyfriend and two other friends. After getting into an argument for unknown reasons, the 26-year-old woman left the bar to find her boyfriend. As she entered the street, Shrum was struck by a motorist whose driver failed to stop and continued to flee the scene.
Fair Oaks PD was able to collect information that indicates the vehicle was likely a gray 4-door sedan after debris of the vehicle was found at the scene.
At this time, it appears that the motorist involved and responsible currently remains at-large and has therefore not been detained.
Fair Oaks police officials are currently investigating and will have more information available to the public later this evening or Tuesday morning.
