Dmitry Scotkin, 69, Victim in Pedestrian Accident

DATE OF COLLISION: Tuesday, July 17th
July 18, 2018- According to SF Bay News, a deadly pedestrian versus auto collision was reported yesterday morning at the intersection of 36th Avenue and Sloat Boulevard.
At roughly 10:06 a.m., Dmitry Scotkin, 69, was hit by a passing vehicle as he attempted to cross the road.
According to the report, the Scotkin sadly did not survive the impact of the collision and was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.
No details were shared on the driver and the vehicle involved but it appeared that the motorist did remain following the accident.
SF Bay News was informed that a “High-Intensity Activated Crosswalk System” had been recently installed at the intersection to assure safety for pedestrians.
San Francisco police officials are currently investigating and have not disclosed whether or not the 69-year-old man was within the means of a marked crosswalk.
