Semi-Truck Collides With Vehicle on Lone Tree Road
ESCALON (July 31, 2018)- According to the California Highway Patrol, an injurious collision between a big rig milk truck and a pickup truck occurred this afternoon on Lone Tree Road.
At roughly 1:29 p.m., a white pickup truck and a semi-truck with a trank of milk were involved in a crash.
A second big rig may have been involved at some point as well which ultimately ended up coming to rest in a ditch off the side of the road, according to CHP officials.
Milk allegedly covered the entire road as well as debris prompting the full closure of Lone Tree Road.
At least one person in the pickup truck sustained injuries as they were transported to a hospital in unknown condition.
A heavy-duty tow truck and a standard sized tow truck were dispatched to the scene to remove the vehicles from off the road.
No details have been provided in regards to the cause of the crash which remains under investigation as of 3:00 p.m.

Pending the investigation, the company employing the big rig driver may be held liable for the collision.
