FRESNO: Mina Vang Killed in Pedestrian Accident at Armstrong and Butler Aveneus
FRESNO (March 20, 2017)- According to the Fresno Police and the California Highway Patrol, a 12-year-old girl suffered fatal injuries after being struck by a car as a pedestrian Monday morning.
Authorities responded to the incident at 6:34 a.m. where the victim who has been identified as Mina Vang was struck by a southbound truck on Armstrong.
Vang was rushed to Community Regional Med Center, where she tragically died of her injuries.
California Highway Patrol officials were able to confirm that the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene as it did not appear the motorist had been under the influence.
Liability still remains under investigation as it is unknown whether or not the girl was in a crosswalk or if the driver had been speeding.
