Head-on Crash in San Diego on Coronado Bridge (Highway 75); Briana Rall Arrested
SAN DIEGO (March 25, 2017)- According to NBC News San Diego, a 24-year-old woman driving under the influence caused a DUI head-on crash Saturday morning as she drove across the Coronado Bridge also known as Highway 75.
The crash occurred at roughly 4:18 a.m. involving three total vehicles including a Ford Fusion, a Ford F-150, and a Dodge pickup truck.
Per the article, the driver of the Fusion, Briana Rall, 24, was headed the wrong-way before she crashed head-on with the Ford F-150 driven by a 49-year-old woman as well as the Dodge driven by a 27-year-old man.
Both drivers of the pickup trucks who have not been identified by name were seriously injured and transported from the scene to UCSD Medical Center. The 49-year-old woman suffered the worst of it as she remains in critical care at this time.
Meanwhile, Rall was moderately injured and subsequently arrested for being under the influence.
Traffic remained heavily congested for several hours causing severe traffic delays as California Highway Patrol and Coronado police officials investigated the incident.
