Novato police officials responded to the crash site at 11:00 p.m. between a Ford F-150 and a Jeep.

Authorities have determined that the driver of the Jeep identified as Taylor Brindley, 24, of Novato, failed to stop at a stop sign triggering a very serious collision with the Ford truck.

The driver of the Ford truck had been Jimmy Hogges. He incurred major internal trauma injuries and was subsequently rushed to the intensive care unit, where he sadly was pronounced dead shortly after being admitted.

Following the wreck, police determined Brindley had been operating his vehicle under the influence and was subsequently arrested. He had been driving on a suspended license and remains jailed with a bail set at $50,000.
