John Napolitano Killed in Temecula Bike Accident on Temecula Parkway
TEMECULA, California (April 27, 2017) — A bicyclist identified as John Napolitano, 56, sadly died of his injuries Thursday morning following a collision Wednesday night at Temecula and Pechanga parkways, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
The collision took place at about 8:52 p.m.
The Temecula Police Department reported that a pickup truck driver was turning right from Temecula Parkway onto Pechanga Parkway when they struck a bicyclist later identified as John Napolitano.
Paramedics responded and quickly rushed john Napolitano to Inland Valley Medical Center where he sadly passed from his injuries early Thursday at precisely 1:45 a.m.
No details have been released at this time regarding the identity of the pickup truck driver.
Police closed down the intersection for several hours to investigate the crash in an attempt to determine liability, but initial results indicate that drugs and or alcohol were not factors.
