27-Year-Old Man Killed in Calexico Crash Wednesday EveningCALEXICO (December 8, 2017)- According to the Imperial Valley Press, Kristofer Cardenas, 27, of Calexico, has been identified as the man fatally injured in a traffic collision Wednesday evening on Evan Hewes Highway.
Authorities responded to the scene of the crash which occurred at 5:46 p.m. between an unknown vehicle and a farm tractor.
Per the article, Cardenas was sadly pronounced dead at the scene upon the arrival of paramedics and the Imperial County Sherriff officials.
No details were provided regarding the condition of the driver of the other vehicle and whether or not they were injured.
At this time, it remains unclear what exactly transpired leading up to the wreck as the Imperial County Sheriff’s Department currently investigates the incident.
