Man, 69, Injured in Los Banos Bicycle Collision
LOCATION: Los Banos
DATE OF COLLISION: Tuesday, June 5th
June 6, 2018– According to the Merced Sun-Star, a 69-year-old man from Los Banos was injured following a bicycle accident yesterday morning at the intersection of K and 6th streets.
Los Banos police officials were notified of the accident at 10:41 a.m. where an alleged Nissan Sentra struck the man as he crossed the intersection.
The victim who has not been identified by name suffered moderate injuries and was transported via ambulance to a local area hospital.
Authorities confirmed the involved driver of the Nissan did indeed remain at the scene and was cooperative with police throughout the questioning process.
At this time, it remains unclear who will be held at fault as the collision is currently under investigation, according to the Merced Sun-Star.
