Man Killed, 49, in Oakland Hit-and-Run on 85th Avenue

Oakland hit and run 85th and railroad, man killedOAKLAND (March 27, 2017)- According to the SF Gate, a 49-year-old man who has not been identified was fatally struck by a hit-and-run driver Sunday afternoon.

The incident took place right around 3:00 p.m. at the intersection of 85th Avenue and Railroad Avenue.

Oakland police officials were able to relay to the media that the victim who is not a resident of Oakland had been working on his vehicle when the driver of an SUV veered toward off the road and struck the man.

The unidentified victim sadly was pronounced at the scene.

Meanwhile, no arrests have been made as police officials will attempt to pull surveillance footage from nearby business locations to get a lead on the hit-and-run suspect to obtain a license plate number.
