At Least 1 Person Injured in Marysville Crash Friday Morning
MARYSVILLE, YUBA COUNTY (April 13, 2018)- According to the California Highway Patrol, an injury collision was reported Friday at the intersection of Loma Rica and Iowa City roads.
CHP officials were notified of the collision which involved two vehicles at 7:45 a.m.
The dispatch report indicated that a silver Chevy Camaro and a black Ford pickup truck had crashed.
Woman Trapped Inside Vehicle
According to the CHP report, a woman in the Camaro had apparently been trapped inside and visibly injured following the accident. The Yuba County Fire Department was called to the scene to assist in prying open the doors to free the woman who was eventually taken to a hospital.
Although unspecified, northbound lanes on either Loma Rica and Iowa City Road were shut down temporarily while authorities investigated and gathered details.
Both Wap Towing and King Towing assisted in the removal of each vehicle from off the road.
No details were included regarding the cause of the accident and what exactly transpired.
