Marin County Hit-and-Run Injury Lawyer
It is forbidden by law in California to leave the scene after causing or being involved in an auto accident regardless whether or not there are injuries. A hit and run motorist who causes serious bodily injury to another motorist or pedestrian or results in death will be charged with either a misdemeanor or a felony. Depending on the circumstances, a hit-and-run suspect will receive a much harsher sentencing pending the nature of a specific incident.
For this incident, the hit-and-run motorist will be charged with a felony hit-and-run as the victim has suffered injuries as a result. When there is confirmed negligence or wrongdoing on behalf of a driver especially following a hit-and-run collision, the motorcyclist, in this case, will be entitled to a personal injury lawsuit against the at-fault hit-and-run suspect seeking compensation for damages including medical expenses and hospital bills, lost future income, and pain and suffering.
