Caltans Driver Injured in Collision with Logging Truck
MOKELUMNE HILL (July 25, 2018)- According to the California Highway Patrol, a Caltrans truck and a logging truck collided head-on this morning at precisely 8:55 a.m.
The collision occurred at the intersection of Highway 49 and Highway 26 causing major front-end damage to both vehicles.
Authorities confirmed that the Caltrans driver suffered moderate injuries from the accident before being transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital.
Following the wreck, debris covered the roadway resulting in temporary traffic delays.
CHP did not indicate that the semi-truck driver suffered any injuries as they remained present at the scene for nearly an hour.
