Other potential factors will be looked into as well including whether or not either of the drivers was under the influence at the time of the accident? Was either driver driving recklessly or over the speed limit prior to impact? What were the road conditions and how was the lighting in the vicinity of where the accident occurred? A government that fails to ensure the safety for drivers and pedestrians due to poor road design or failure to maintain street lighting may also have some responsibility. Each of these factors will be assessed allowing police officials to draw up a final conclusion.
