Pedestrian Woman Hit-and-Run San Francisco on Filbert Street
SAN FRANCISCO (March 30, 2017)- According to KTVU News, a woman was seriously injured after being struck by a hit-and-run driver Wednesday afternoon on Filbert Street near Columbus Avenue.
The incident was logged at roughly 3:05 p.m. when a 76-year-old woman who had been walking in the North Beach neighborhood area was struck by a vehicle whose driver failed to stop and fled the scene.
The victim who has not been identified suffered significant injuries described as being life-threatening as she was found unconscious at the scene before being rushed to a trauma center.
Her condition has not been updated as of Thursday morning.
KTVU gave no indication that they have any sort of lead on the suspect and the hit-and-run vehicle. It is likely police officials will attempt to pull security footage from one of the local residences or business buildings in order to enable authorities to catch the suspect.
