Motorcyclist Badly Hurt in Head-on Collision
RAMONA (November 9, 2018)- According to the California Highway Patrol, a major injury head-on collision involving a motorcyclist was reported this morning on Sutherland Dam Road at Sutherland Drive.
At around 11:39 a.m., CHP was notified of the accident involving a motorcycle and an alleged Lexus SUV.
The crash left the rider was major injuries before being attended to by paramedics and transported to a nearby hospital.
Meanwhile, no information was provided on the SUV driver and whether or not they were hurt.
Traffic delays ensued for nearly an hour and a half while CHP investigated the scene to determine what exactly happened and why.
No additional information has been revealed at this time.

California Highway Patrol will carry out a forensic examination of both the SUV and the motorcycle, as well as photos that were taken of the scene, will help investigators determine what caused Jason Harman to lose control and crash the motorcycle. Authorities will thoroughly look into how fast he was going and if he was riding recklessly, whether or not alcohol or drugs were involved, whether or not there were any mechanical issues with the motorcycle. The investigation will also consist of looking at measurements of evidence left by the bike such as point of impact, final resting position, skid marks, and gouge marks.
In such cases where negligence or wrongdoing may have been a factor, the motorcyclist will be granted the right to file a personal injury lawsuit against the SUV driver if the investigation proves that the motorcyclist was not liable.
